Tommy's First Food!

Tommy has always loved his milk and it turns out he likes baby food just as much.  We sure do have a good eater on our hands.  He will pretty much eat anything.  Like we did with Maggie, we made our own baby food for Tommy.  He has had sweet potatoes (his favorite), butternut squash, carrots, peas, green beans, bananas, and apples.   He definitely prefers the orange veggies over the green ones but he will eat both.  In fact, he likes sweet potatoes so much, he actually started turning a bit orange.

First bite

Eyeing up some frozen milk to wash it down

This stuff is good!

We also started giving him a little water in sippy cup, since this photo was taking we have bought a few boy cups.... :)

We’re Back!

We have lots of catching up to do!  We have had a busy past couple months.  I (Tina) am going to attempt to start helping Susie with the blog since we seem to have little time these days.  Keep checking back as I plan to get this thing caught up as quickly as possible.  Lots has been happening.  Susie’s dad became ill rather suddenly and passed away in April.  Maggie loved her “papa” so much and still talks about him almost every day.  We all miss him very much.  We are attempting to sell our house and move to Hudson.  We just got an offer on our house so that is exciting.  We love our house now but decided we wanted to get Maggie in a better school district, Susie’s commute was horrible from Glenwood City to Golden Valley every day and we just need more space.  Anyhow trying to keep a house clean for showings with two kids and our dog Joey has been a full time job for Susie.  And while all this has been going on we have managed to go camping, buy a van, and go house hunting.  Not to mention 3 separate trips to Missouri and celebrated two holidays (Easter and Memorial Day). Tommy had surgery, Tommy started eating solids, Tommy had 6, 7, and 8 month birthdays.  Maggie gave up her nuks, had her first dance recital, and she finally had allergy testing done.  More to come on all those.

Sitting!

Right around four months, Mommies noticed that I was really fighting to sit up all the time.  If I was on their laps, I would push up to sit up-right.  So one day Mommy Tina decided to try the "tripod" on me where she sits me up and puts my hands on my legs for a little extra support.  Much to her surprise, it worked!  I can now "tripod" for pretty long periods of time.  (they seem to get longer every day!)  I feel like I have a whole new view of the world from this vantage point!  Watch out, Mommies.  I'll be crawling before you know it!!

First sitting shot captured on camera!!

I may look scared, but I love it!  :)

Four Month Check-Up

Well, looks like we took another hiatus from blogging, so we're a little behind, but here we go!

A little over a month ago we had my four month check-up.  Everything checked out great, and overall, the appointment wasn't too bad, except for the shots.  I didn't like that part one bit.

Here are my stats:
Weight:  68th percentile
Length:  24 1/2 inches (not sure the percentile - I was squirmy so they had to measure me several times)
Head:  78th percentile

Overall, I'm a pretty standard sized boy!  Mommies were surprised because they feel like I'm so much bigger than Maggie was, but on the boy growth chart, I'm just a normal guy!  :)

Looking particularly slender in my diaper.  ;)

Mommies love my little Tommy grin!  :)
