First Trip (this year) to the St. Croix County Fair!

Last night was the first night of the St. Croix county fair, so mommies took me for a little while to give me a taste of it before we go back on Saturday.  I certainly got a good taste of it and I left wanting more!!  There were so many animals to see and pet, fun food to eat and rides to enjoy.  We only went on 2 rides last night, but I plan on going on a lot more on Saturday!  The highlight of the night for me was definitely my pony ride.  I smiled the entire time!  Can't wait for Saturday!

I love the fair!!

Petting one of the many goats!

This mini horse is the perfect size for me!  (hint, hint mommies!)

Maybe a future 4H girl?

Fun times on Cedar Lake!

On Sunday, the Mansells and the Nelson's met up with us on Cedar Lake to enjoy the sandbar, escape the heat and take the boat out for some fun water sports.  I did really good on the sandbar and could walk around really well.  I loved playing on the tube, and my other favorite activity was taking my watering can and dumping the water on my face.  (while simultaneously trying to drink it)  Mommies also decided it was time to try me out on the tube, so after a while of playing, Mommy and I got on the tube to go for my first ride.  Unfortunately, I was having so much fun on the sandbar, so I didn't like the idea of having to get on the tube and leave, so our ride didn't last too long.  I wasn't scared, I just wanted to get back in the water and play.  After that, Mommy, Tina and Lance all went for rides on the tube, then Kelly and Lucy tried it out too.  Once they were done with the tube, Mommy, Aunt Kelly and Mama all water skiied too.  Mommies can't wait to get me up on skiis.  (they may have to wait a few years though!)  Once again, another reason why I love summer!!

Fun Fest in New Richmond!!

This past weekend was the annual Fun Fest in New Richmond.  Despite the heat, mommies and I headed out there on Friday afternoon to meet up with Aunt Kelly, Grace and Lucy.  Mommy figured I would just try out some of the games, watch the kids go on the rides and kind of wander around.  She was WRONG!  While I did enjoy the games, I was right there with Grace and Lucy on the rides too!  (well, most of them - there were a few  I was way too small for!)  Mommy even let me go on a few rides with Grace and Lucy by myself with no adult!  After Grace and Lucy left, mommies got me dinner there (pork chop and some corn), and then we went home where I went to bed VERY early to sleep off all of the fun I had.  I can't wait for the St. Croix county fair in a couple of weeks for more rides and fun!

In line for our next adventure.  Not sure what to call this ride, but we all got really dizzy from it!  (mostly thanks to me spinning the wheel a few too many times)

Mama took a turn with me on the helicopter too after I became a little upset seeing her go on the Tilt-a-whirl without me.

Summer Means Sweet Corn on the Cob!

A couple of weeks ago, mommies drove by a stand from a local farmer that had sweet corn.  They were wondering if I'd like it, so they bought a few (and also bought the most delicious blueberries they've ever had!!) to try it out.  While it wasn't the best sweet corn they'd ever had, it was still really good, and rather than cut mine off the cob, they just let me go for it.  After initially chewing on the wrong end, I got the hang of it and made a pretty good dent in it!  Seriously, can it be summer forever??!!

(Mommy has no idea why all of the pictures from her iPhone are turned sideways, but she'll try to fix it later!)

Wrong end, but still sweet and yummy!

YUM!!

All done!

More Fun, Silly Moments with Me!

As usual, mommies have several pictures of me that don't really deserve their own blog update, so they throw them together in one!  Let me just say that I LOOOVE summer.  In the summer, you get to play outside a lot, swim, and also spend abnormal amounts of time in just your diaper since it's so hot.  On REALLY hot days, I also still enjoy spending time inside playing with all of my toys.  Speaking of toys, while we were in Missouri, Mamma and Papa brought some of Mommy's old toys for us to take home.  This included a few of my new favorites - two new Cabbage Patch dolls and an old Cabbage Patch pack 'n play.  Mommy gets such a kick out of watching me enjoy all of her old toys!!

Hanging out on the back of my truck.  Still one of my favorite toys!!

Giddyup Joe!

Chocolate?  Check.  Good book?  Check.  Wearing only a diaper?  Check.

4th of July 2011

For 4th of July, Mommies and I loaded up the truck and headed down to Missouri.  I did SO great on the ride down and the ride back.  Mommies were very impressed!  Most of my time was spent sleeping and watching Elmo DVDs.  (Mommies were a little sick of hearing about "Elmo going potty" by the end of it...)

We stayed in Missouri for 5 days, which was great because I got to spend lots of time with Mamma, Papa, my cousins, my second cousins, aunts, uncles, etc.  We also had a surprise 70th birthday party for Papa!  One of my gifts to him was a pink Disney Princess fishing pole that I can't wait to try out with him when we're back for Labor Day!  The weather was REALLY hot, so we spent most of our time in the water.  I even rode the jet ski for the first time!  Mommies are so glad that I love the water as much as they do because I'm pretty sure mommies could stay in the water all day if they didn't have other responsibilities.  (like ME and work....)  :)  While they did take a lot of pictures, some of the outside pictures didn't turn out too great because the humidity kept fogging up our lens, but they still managed to get some pretty cute ones!

Another treasure were pirate hats for everyone!

What do you think of my new hat?

We also got pirate swords!  (soft ones, of course!)

We finished off with some pirate gold and a pirate craft project.
