Playful baby!

In the last week or two, my mommies have noticed a much more playful side to me.  I'm enjoying my tummy time mat a lot more now (especially when I can be on my back looking at all of the toys), and I also like to play with other toys when I'm sitting in my bouncy seat.  (I still love my rings, and my mommies let me play with my doll that I got for Xmas too!)  Here are a few pictures from last week of me enjoying play time.

Playing with my rings.  I love to hold onto them and put them in my mouth.

Goofing around for the camera.

Bumming Around in my Bumbo Chair

On Friday, mama decided I had shown enough head/neck control to try out my Bumbo.  I'm a little wobbly in it, but overall, I'm really good at sitting up like a big girl!!  Of course, as with any new accomplishment, my mommies snapped about 100 photos of me.  Here are a few...

First time in the Bumbo - so strong!

Looking around ... this is kind of fun!

Now I'm just showing off.

Hey mom!  You're blocking the TV!

A shot of me from behind in my big girl seat.

Side shot of me watching the Olympics in my Bumbo.

Mama also decided to put my jumper together on Friday night.  They put me in it briefly, but I think I'm still a few weeks away from using this.  As you can see in the picture below, I'm on stimulation overload at this point...

Not quite tall enough to touch the floor.  :)  Aunt Jessie suggested we put towels or blankets under my feet for the time being, so we might try that next time.

Take a Hike!

Thanks to some warmer weather lately (well, "warm" to us ... so like 30s), my mommies have been taking me for a lot more walks so I can get some fresh air.  I love my snow suit and I'm really happy in the Bjorn.  If I'm ever fussy at all during the walks, it doesn't last long.  As you'll see by the pictures, the walks usually make me very tired and I'm almost always sleeping by the time we get home!

Peek-a-boo!  Where are my eyes??

Me and mama after a walk.

Walking (or being carried around while others are walking) is exhausting....

I'm awake now ... and hungry.  I guess eating my snowsuit will do until mommy feeds me!

I'm A Two Month Old!!

I turned two months old last week!  It's hard to believe that it's already been two months.  My mommies say it has been the most amazing (and tiring) time of their lives!

We didn't do much (anything) to celebrate, but, as expected, my mommies did take a few pictures of me that day.  (actually that night - they didn't think to take the pictures until the night time when I was already in my pj's and ready for bed!)

Mommy trying to get me to show how many months I am on my fingers.  Maybe when I'm a little older.

Finding Bliss in the Bouncy!

Up until recently, I had very little interest in my bouncy seat.  Lately though, it's become my favorite place to hang out in the afternoons/evenings.  There's a bar with toys on it that's supposed to go across the front, but I haven't shown much interest in that and I prefer to be able to look around, so mommies took it off for the time being.  Seems like the majority of my pictures lately are of me in the bouncy - check them out!

Relaxing in the bouncy on Friday afternoon...

Taking a quick snooze while mommies got ready before coffee at the Bean Bag.  How do you like my Valentine's Day shirt?

Mommy trying a bow on me for the first time.  Mommy figured I would hate this since I don't like when I have to wear hats, but I didn't mind the bow!

Two Month Check Up

I had my two month check-up yesterday with Dr. Montague.  Everything looks great and other than the shot portion of the appointment, I was a really good baby!  I had to get 6 vaccinations!  3 shots (one shot had 3 vaccinations in it) and one oral vaccination.  Luckily, the nurse who gives the shots was REALLY quick, so I screamed for the first one, but she had the other two done in about 5-10 seconds.  My mommies couldn't believe how quick she was!

After the shots, I had myself so worked up, that I became very sleepy.  I slept the whole way home, and then I was up for an hour or two, and was back asleep from 6pm until 2am.  Luckily, I'm fine now and back to updating my blog in the middle of the night.  ;)

Here are my stats:

Weight:  12lb, 4oz (80th percentile)
Height:  22.75" (60th percentile)
Head:  15" (50th percentile)

Sitting patiently on mommy's lap while my mommies talked to the doctor and asked her about a million questions.

Close up.  I was SO good!!

Side view.  This was all pre-shots, of course.

By the time they were ready to give me my shots, I was already starting to get a little fussy.  This was my face after she just put the rubbing alcohol on my legs prior to the shots.  Mommy knew it was all downhill from here.

One shot down ... now I'm mad. I went about 10 seconds working up such a big scream that I forgot to breath.  Mommy said she's never seen my face so red!

This is awful.

This is not okay.  I kind of wish mama had caught mommy's face in this one.  She looked like a deer in the headlights.

Post-shots.  Mommy's trying to calm me down.

Starting to calm down, but still a little upset.  At least it's all over for now...
