An Afternoon with Grace and Lucy

On Tuesday afternoon, mommies and I headed over to the Mansell’s house to try out their new pool.  Unfortunately, mommies didn’t take any pictures of us kids swimming, but Mommy did capture a few of us after we were done swimming when we decided to go on a little bike ride.  Every other Tuesday is bike day at school, so Mommy already had my bike in the car.  We had a lot of fun – I always love hanging out with my cousins!

A bike and a swim"soup".  Two of my favorite things!

Mommy loves this one of me hanging with my older cousins.  (she also loves the fact that Grace still has goggles on her head from swimming!)  :)

Cheeeeese!

Fun Night at the Nelson's

Last Saturday we headed over to the Nelsons house to enjoy the beautiful night, play and grill some yummy food!  Aftin, Bailee and I had SO much fun playing together.  We played on the go-cart, ran through the sprinkler, played on the swingset and basically just ran around like crazy.  We always have such a blast together.  After us kids went to bed, the adults enjoyed a quiet night sitting around the fire.  We love summer!!

First Night in my Big Girl Bed!

With a little brother on his way, Mommies decided last night was a good time to begin transitioning me to my big girl bed to free up the crib for the baby.  I've been talking excitedly about a big girl bed now for several weeks, but Mommies still weren't sure how I would react once it was actually in my room and my crib was gone.  Much to their surprise, I didn't seem sad at all about the crib going away, and I went right to bed last night, slept well, and never got out of my bed!  They were SO proud of me this morning, and I have to admit, I was a little proud of me too.  :)  Mommy asked me when I got up if it was fun sleeping in my big girl bed last night, and I screamed "YEAHHHH!!!"

Here's a picture of my bed after Mommies put it together.  They're still waiting on the delivery of my actual bedding.  It didn't take long after it was set-up though for me to put all of my stuffed animal friends on the bed!

Mommies couldn't believe how easily I went to sleep last night, so of course, they had to sneak in and take a picture of me.  They think I look tiny in this big bed!  :)

We Happened to Make a Cake on my Half Birthday...

Last weekend, Mama went up north fishing for 5 days, so on the night she came back, Mommy told me we were going to have a party for her and make a nice dinner for her.  As soon as I heard the word "party", I insisted on making Mama a cake.  So Mommy agreed we could make a cake, and I took it a step further and decided that cake needed candles too.  So we bought candles.  When it came time to eat the cake, I made sure we not only lit the candles, but that we also sang "Happy Birthday".  At first, Mommies thought this was really odd, but then they did realize that the next day was actually my half birthday, so they went with it.  :)

Putting the candles on the cake.

Side view so you can see the "outfit" I chose to wear.

My special "cheeeese" face.

Getting ready to blow out the candles.

An Update on our Ducks

Our duck friends are still with us and have grown a TON since we got them.  They used to fit in the palm of Mommies' hands, and now they're huge.  They live in a calf hutch in our backyard and spend all of their time waddling around in a little pack and roaming throughout our yard.  They also love swimming in the pond.  I love letting them out and putting them back in every single day with Mommy.  I'm such a good helper!

I like to stick their mulch bedding and food through the hole in the back of the calf hutch that they ducks live in.

They're all so tall now and they're different colors than they were before.  The one in the front that's all white (Donald) used to be pure yellow.

The ducks love swimming in our pond!

Our New Kitty Penny

A few weeks ago, we took a kitty from Grandma and Grandpa's farm that I have been playing with for the past year since she was a little kitten.  We named her Penny.  She seemed a little timid being at our house at first, but she's warmed up a lot, and she's the first pet we've had that doesn't seem scared of me.  (not sure why they're all scared of me!)  She let's me carry her around wherever I go and she just lays calmly in my arms - she's such a great new friend!

Penny's really laid back and let's me carry her around all the time.

I'm such a good kitty-Mommy.  Hopefully that means I'll be a good big sister soon!

I tried to take Penny up the stairs of my playset to go down the slide, but Mommy suggested I leave her on the ground and pick her up when I'm done.  :)

Memorial Day Camping Trip with the Nelsons

Last weekend we rented a pop-up camper and headed to Glen Hills campground with the Nelsons.  It was the first time we've all been camping together.  (usually the parents just go and leave us kids behind - no fair!!)  Beyond the unfortunate weather on Saturday (it rained all day), we had a blast!  Mommy's favorite memory is from Saturday night when the parents were sitting outside around the fire and us three girls were all in a bed in Lance and Melissa's camper watching movies, giggling and staying up way too late!  We all have so much fun together!  Once the weather perked up, we went for several walks and spent a lot of time playing with all of the toys the Nelsons brought.  It was a great time and mommies are already trying to figure out when we'll go next!

The rain made things a little muddy, but I don't mind being covered in dirt!

A view of our sites.  We technically had two sites, but it was more like 1 big site, which was perfect!  Check out all those toys.  It kind of looked like a daycare.  :)

A picture of me in the camper.  The camper was a little smaller than the one we rented last year, but it was REALLY nice.

Sharing a chair with Aftin.

View from our deck after we got back from camping.  Beautiful rainbow!
