18 Month Photo Shoot

On Sunday, we had my 18 month photo shoot.  We had Kim Gould do the pictures, and we went over to Grandma and Grandpa McNamara's farm to see if we could get some unique pictures, and we did!  Mommies and Kim had to work REALLY hard to get me to smile, but they did get a few out of me.  :)  Grace and Lucy also stopped by, so they got some smiles out of me too, and Kim took a couple pictures of them!  Below are all of the pictures from the photo shoot.  Mommies are thrilled with the way they turned out and can't wait to get prints!!  (I tried to tell Mommy that some of these pictures are exactly the same, but she insists they're each a little different...)  :)

Grace and Lucy got their pictures taken too!

A Fun Afternoon at Grandma and Grandpa McNamara's!

Yesterday afternoon we headed over to Grandma and Grandpa McNamara's to visit and let me run around the farm a little.  Mommies tried to get me to eat lunch first when we got there (which was yet another failed eating attempt...), then as soon as they opened the door to let me go, I sprinted toward the chicken coop.  I loved looking at all of the chickens, and Grandma even let me feed them!  Mama fed them too - right out of her hands.  Most of them were gentle, but one of them was not so gentle eating out of Mama's hand, which Mommy thought was pretty funny.  After spending a long time in the coop, I ran around a little more, then mommies took me home for a nap.  I always have such a fun time over there!

Watching the chickens!

Close-up.  Aren't they cute?!

Mama holding one of the really gentle ones.

Getting some meal worms from Grandma to feed to the chickens.

Mama letting the chicks eat directly out of her hand!

Getting a closer look.

Running around the farm.

Playing on the swing.

More swing time.

Hanging out with Grandma.

Hot Day at the Beach!

After the zoo on Saturday, we were all pretty warm, so we went home, put on our swimsuits and headed to the beach at Eau Galle lake.  This was my first time swimming this year, (other than indoor swimming in the winter) and I was hesitant at first, but I really got into it once I got used to it.  The water was a little chilly, but it felt good on such a hot day.  Mommies brought my sand pale and my watering canister, so I had a lot of fun digging around in the sand and pouring water all over the place.  I'm so excited that summer is just getting started and we have LOTS of beach trips ahead of us!

Heading to the beach in my new turtle swimsuit!!

Rear view carrying my sand pale.

Front view.  Mommies need to put the camera away.  :)

Mommy covering me in sunblock ... which will explain why my skin looks white and chalky in the rest of the pictures...

Playing with my watering can.

The beach is fun!

More pouring!

And then came Mommy's least favorite part ... when I decided to try to drink the lake water.  Yuck.

First Visit (of many) to the Minnesota Zoo!

Thanks to the nice weather on Saturday, mommies decided it was the perfect day to take me to the zoo for the first time.  I'm pretty obssessed with animals, so they thought I might like it ... and they were right!  It was so cool and there was so much to see!  Some of my favorites were the prairie dogs and the bears, but those were all "runners-up" to the farm area at the zoo.  The first thing I saw at the farm were the goats.  There were adults and babies and the best part of it all is that you get to go inside the pen with the goats!!  They're all really friendly and I was bouncing up and down with excitement.  (literally)  Mommies actually had a hard time getting me to leave the goats, but there were still so many animals to see.  After the goats, we visited some cows, then mommies tried to get me to eat some lunch (which I had no interest in doing), then we walked around some more and went home.  There's a water park there too and a big playground, in addition to lots of inside exhibits that we didn't see.  We definitely plan to go back a lot this summer to see everything else and take advantage of all the zoo has to offer!

Checking out the fish.  I had to look at them here since mommies didn't catch any on Friday night.  These particular ones were salmon!

There was LOTS of pointing at the zoo.

This bear was hot and sleepy.

Getting a closer look at the animals.

More bears in the background of this one.  Mommies obviously preferred to take pictures of me instead of the animals.  :)

Fascinated by all of the animals!

Mommy and me checking out the prairie dogs!

Getting a better look at the prairie dogs.

Saying hi to the goats!

You can't tell, but I'm bouncing and clapping in this one.  I was REALLY excited to visit the goats!!

Hanging out with one of my favorite goats.

Visiting the cows.  MOOOOO!

Enjoying a snack at the zoo.
