The weeks are flying by and it is getting harder to stay on
top of this blog. We are 21 days away
from baby number 3 joining our family. We have
been trying to squeeze a few things in as our little family of 4. We celebrated Leyton’s 6th birthday
and Father’s Day with a pool party at Kelly’s.
Both kids have had haircuts and Maggie went to the dentist. We went camping twice and took the kids to
their first parade. The weather finally
seems to be turning so hopefully we can get some more summer fun in before the
baby.
Maggie finally tried out the slide at Kelly's solo and loved it. I think she did it about 20 times.
Tommy was very excited to give Grandpa his Father's Day present.
This was Little Tom carrying Grandpa's present home from school. He was so proud.
Maggie was also bursting with excitement to have Grandpa open her Father's Day gifts
Ella, Maggie, and Tommy enjoying lunch
Tommy post-swim. He loves cuddling with the baby in my tummy. I think he is going to be really sad when his pillow is gone. He is super attached to it. He cuddles with it multiple times a day.
Camping trip round #1 we went to Willow River State Park. The weather was awful. Rain and wind advisories...we didn't stay the night. The kids had fun playing in the tent for about 4 hours though.
Basket head was a poplar game
Hiding in the sleeping bag was another game.
We have been having picnics every Wednesday for the past few weeks. The kids like it and there is no clean up at home so it is a win-win.
We took the kids fishing at the state park for the first time this year
It was Tommy's first time fishing ever. He was a little excited.
Maggie was upset because we made her come in and start getting ready for bed. Tommy was trying to cheer her up. But he couldn't keep a straight face.
Camping round #2. Highland Ridge Campground. It was a success!
Maggie relaxing. She sure knows how to camp!
Tommy and I snuggling in the tent. Both kids slept amazingly well.
Tommy helping himself to a cold one
Maggie's long overdue haircut
Maggie at the dentist
She was such a big girl this time around. She let them clean, polish and take x-rays of her teeth.
Tommy's turn for a haircut
He officially gets his hair done more than anyone else in the house. Good thing he loves it!
I turned 35. Maggie was super excited about my birthday. I told her that one of these days she will stop wanting me to get older.
Tommy loves to go in the office and get into things. He goes in there alone and shuts the french doors. We spied on him and about died when we saw that he had actually weaseled his way up in to the big office chair.
Just doing a little bookkeeping :)
We took the kids to the pride parade for the first time. It was super hot. Maggie said she doesn't like parades.
Tommy seemed captivated by anything that was loud, alive or played music. He liked the motorcycles and horses a lot.
This is Maggie and Sydney swinging. They go super high. Sydney is our neighbor who is 4 and also happens to be in Maggie's daycare class as well. They play so well together. It is usually a battle to get them inside at night.
