First Trip to a Water Park

Last week on our way to Missouri for Thanksgiving, mommies and I stopped in Des Moines to spend the night at a hotel with an indoor water park.  Mommies weren't sure what I would think of it, and while I was hesitant at first, I quickly came around and ended up having a blast!  The park had a big pirate ship full of slides and tunnels, and it also had a little mini pirate ship for little kids.  For big kids (like Mommy), it had some big slides.  I can't wait to go down those ones someday, but mommies decided I was a bit too young this time!  :)  I sure hope we make this stop a new tradition on our trips to Missouri!!

Mommy trying to warm me up to the idea of going down the slide by showing me how it works.  :)

My turn!

The Impact of Sugar on Kids

This is a quick video Mama made of us kids at Pat and Terri's on Halloween after a LOT of candy.  (notice the dancing, singing chicken in the background)  :)

Runaway Chick

This is a video of my first "sugar high" on Halloween.  We were getting ready to leave Lindsay's house when I got a burst of energy and quickly became the runaway chicken...  :)

Happy Halloween!

Yesterday was Halloween, and what a difference a year makes!  Last year I was still a baby and kind of just went with the flow of the night, but this year, I was fully present and ready to party!  Mommies chose a chicken costume for me due to the fact that I love feeding the chickens at Grandma and Grandpa's house.  They were hoping to get a picture of me in my costume standing by the chicken coop, but I had different plans.  :)

We had a really fun night with our cousins, and aunts and Uncle Dave joined us too!  We went to several different family member's houses, and we ended up at Grandma and Grandpa's house for a late dinner.  When we were walking up to Grandma and Grandpa's house, Grandpa hid under the deck to yell and scare the kids.  I was so tired that I didn't really notice him, but some of the other kids did, and they weren't too happy about it.  :)

Overall, I had a lot of fun and I received WAY too much candy.  (Mommies couldn't believe I didn't get sick)  Mommies had a lot of fun watching me get hyper thanks to the sugar.  Mommy's hoping to include one or two videos too of me during some of my sugar rushes.  :)  If you ask me, Halloween's the best.  Fun costumes, fun, late night with my cousins and TONS of candy.  Count me in!

Crazy chicken on the trampoline!

Saying hi to my cousin Luca.

Happy chicken heading to Lindsay Springer's house.

Me and Snow White.  (aka Lucy)

Trying to get a picture of all of the cousins.  We all know how well that works!  :)

Me, Lucy and Ella.

We ran into the Krumms while we were out.  Steve dressed up as a can of WD40.  Here's a pic of WD40 and Kelly the witch.

Cheeeese!

One last attempt at a cousin shot at the end of the night.  :)

October = Pumpkins!!

A couple of weeks ago, Mama carved a couple of pumpkins for me.  Before she carved them, I helped Mommy clean out the insides of the pumpkins.  (which was so much fun!!)  Given my Elmo obsession, Mama carved one of them to look just like my red, furry friend!  That one was definitely my favorite.  Check them out!

Elmo!

Mommies trying to get me to pose with the pumpkins.  I wasn't cooperating.

I LOVE Elmo!

In case you haven't heard, I have a slight obsession with Elmo.  It started with wanting to wear Elmo pajamas and t-shirts all the time, and now I'm becoming more and more obsessed with my Elmo doll too.  Not only do I play with him a lot, but I also insist on having him in my crib with me at night too!  (and he's not very soft - he's mostly plastic!)  It's not uncommon for mommies to hear me in the morning talking in my room to Elmo.  (they know I'm talking to him because I constantly say his name!)  :)

Here are a few pictures of me enjoying some time with my buddy Elmo.

Giving Elmo a squeeze.

Putting Elmo down for a nap.

Brushing my teeth with Elmo. He doesn't have any teeth, but he likes to watch me.
