Tommy’s 2-year Well Child Check

Tommy had his 2-year Well Child Checkup on 10/8/14.  I was dreading the appointment because he has been a stinker at the doctor the last few times we have had him there but to my surprise he was one of the sweetest, most well-behaved children I have ever witnessed.  This kid truly is unpredictable and that’s what we love about him!  Never a dull day since Tommy came into our lives two years ago. 

Tommy still feels very “solid” when you pick him up but he actually isn't that big for his age.  He definitely seems to be stretching out.  His pants still fit in the waist but the length is getting too short.  And head is still on the larger side. :) 

Here are all of his 2 year stats:

Weight:  30 lbs (73%)
Height:  34 ¾” (67%)
Weight for Length: (77%)
Head Circumference:  19.49” (71%)
Cuteness:  immeasurable (100%)

Flu shot.  He made a face and let out a little kitty whimper and that was it.  I was shocked.

All that excitement wore him out.  He was sleeping before we even left the parking lot

Smile Factory

Teddy has transformed our house into smile factory.  He is just the sweetest baby in the whole world.  I heard some stirring coming from his crib at 4:00 AM so I asked Susie to go check on him. She said, “There are two eyeballs and a giant grin staring back at me!”  Doesn't matter the time of the day Teddy is just one content little peanut.  If you say his name or smile at him, you are sure to get a big gummy-grin in return.

Tommy's 2nd Birthday

Tommy is one lucky guy.  His birthday celebration lasted 2 weeks.  Grandma Morawitz came up to help wish him a Happy Birthday.  We took the kids to the rides at MOA on Thursday.  On Friday Tommy brought monster cookies to school to celebrate with his friends.  His teacher said he was singing happy birthday to himself all week. :)  On Saturday, his actual birthday (27th) we took the kids to Fawn-Doe-Rosa in the morning, had lunch and followed that up with presents and cake at home.

Then this past weekend we celebrated a second time with all his McNamara cousins at the farm,  complete with a Gator ride for the birthday boy.  I am pretty sure there is no place better for this little boy to spend his birthday.  Tommy was spoiled by all and absolutely loves all of his gifts.  Tommy had three cakes: Elmo, Cookie Monster and Mickey Mouse.  I bet if you asked him he would say this was his best birthday ever!

This is Tommy kissing Maggie after he opened his big John Deere tractor.  He was squealing with delight.  Maggie picked it out for him.  He loved it!

This is him doing a happy dance around his tractor.  He was literally bursting with excitement.  It was pure joy to watch him.

Thanks to everyone who helped us celebrate our little man.  We sure do think he is special!

2014 Trinity School Pictures

Maggie is 4 and in the Owl Classroom.  The Owl room is equivalent to Pre-K in Hudson.

Tommy is 2 and in the Ducklings.  Tommy practiced his smile all morning at home but obviously froze when it came time for the money shot! :)

Maggie was able to get him to lighten up a bit.  How cute!

Tommy Turns Two

Thomas Jon turned 2 on September 27^th.  Tommy is one of a kind.   I remember your birth and first year like it was just yesterday.  We have come a long way.  You have always been a handsome little boy.  Your eyes and eyelashes are unbelievable.  Each day your little personality grows and it is filling up with sweetness.  Don’t get me wrong you can still through a tantrum with the best of them but they seem to becoming less frequent.  You are 100% rough and tumble, tractor, bulldozer, motorcycle—loving boy.   You love all things farm or construction.  You are mesmerized by tractors, Bobcats, bulldozers, dump trucks, cows and horses.   You have a rocket for an arm.  You can propel a football, baseball, fork, or whatever is for dinner across the room. 

Both Mommies adore you.  Mommy Susie has a massive soft spot for you.  She is very patient and doting on you.   You two have your own little bedtime routine together while Maggie, Teddy and I do our own thing.  Mommy Susie has taken you for every one of your haircuts except your very first one.  It is fun to watch Susie protect you like her little cub. 

You have several nicknames: Tombomb, Bulldozer, Ivor,  buddy, Butterscotch, and Big Head (we don’t say that one to your face :) ). 

You love to read and read and read.  Your favorites are “Go, Tractor, GO” , “My Truck is Stuck”  and “B is for Bulldozer”.   You have no issues reading the same book over and over again.  You are very smart.  When you want to listen and help with tasks you amaze us. 

You give the sweetest hugs in the whole world.  Sometimes you just come up behind mommies and grab our legs and say “I love you” out of the blue.  You blow kisses.  You give kisses by tilting your big forehead down and patiently waiting for someone to come and kiss you. :)  You still love your baaabaas (bottles), nu-nu’s (nuks) and BB’s (blankets).  I am sure you can say the proper words to describe those items by now but you still refer to them by those names. 

You adore Maggie.  She is your best friend.  90% of the time you guys play so nice together.  When Maggie isn’t around you always ask for her.  You want to follow her and the bigger kids around. 

We love you to the moon and back!  You make our house loud and exciting!
