Christmas at the Lake

We traveled to Missouri to have Christmas at Grandma Morawitz’s house this year.  The drive down was rough.  You know it is a bad sign when the 2 year old is the MVP of the car trip. :)  Teddy cried for about the last 4 hours of the 11-hour trip.  Maggie asked every 20 minutes if we were there yet, and reminded us she was “bored” about every 5 minutes.  We were there for 6 days so we did lots of fun things once we arrived.  Maggie and Reagan went and saw  movie with Grandma, played lots of board games, we all went ice skating, and the moms got lots of shopping in.  The kids adore their big cousin Reagan, they all played so well together.  Grandma and Santa spoiled them with lots of gifts and Tommy stole the show at the Christmas Eve church service.

Teddy was so happy when we arrived around 10 PM

Maggie got to open he birthday gifts from Grandma

She was so happy to receive Isabelle

Maggie did great ice skating!  No bar needed.  It was her first time this year.

This was Tommy's first time ever on skates

He did okay.

Krumm Christmas

We got together to celebrate Christmas with the big extended Krumm side the Saturday before Christmas.  The kids had a real treat this year:  Santa made a surprise visit.   In addition, to Santa the kids decorated cookies, played games and had a great time with all of their cousins.  All the parents played the dice game which is always hilariously competitive.  Susie and I scored some good stuff this year!

Someday we might get a decent picture of all the kids together, this wasn't the day.

The kids when they first spied Santa out the window.

They didn't know what to think

Tommy was so excited to see Santa.  He couldn't stop giving him hugs.

His reaction was very surprising considering he was scared to sit on Santa's lap a week earlier.

Santa had a gift for all the kids.

I lOVED Maggie's reaction when she saw what Santa had brought her!

It was exactly what she had on her list!  :)

Tommy slammed about 8 glasses of punch.
