Arizona Trip

We had our first airplane ride as a family of 5 back in January.  We took all the kids to visit Grandma Morawitz in Arizona.  It was a nice 5-day gateway from the snow and cold.  It was nice to be able to swim outdoors and take the kids on walks.  Maggie and Tommy swam every day we were  there.  Another huge hit for the kids were the mountains and all the cactus plants.  We also visited McCormick Railroad Park when we were there and the kids got to go a train ride and play in the wonderful park.
Tommy was mesmerized by the airplanes

We had an early morning flight on the way down

Somebody was pretty excited about his first airplane ride!

He slept most of the trip to and from

Looking good Teddy!

Teddy meeting cousin Taylor for the first time

They are almost exactly two months apart

Maggie was so sweet with her.  She is excited to have another girl cousin.

We took the kids for a few walks on the canals

There is also a carousel at the park

Maggie had a stomach bug while we were there, It didn't slow her down one bit but on the 3rd day we finally took her to the doctor.

Teddy's Baptism

Teddy was Baptized on January 11th at Christ Church in Woodbury.  Our favorite pastor, Ernie lead his baptism.  His godparents are our good friends, Lance and Melissa Nelson.  Grandma and Grandpa McNamara and Kelly, Grace and Lucy all came to celebrate the special day.  I am sure Teddy loved all the special attention.

This is how Teddy asked Lance and Melissa to be his godparents.  Read his onesie.

Teddy wasn't a fan of the water

Maggie blurted out "I don't think he likes it!"loud enough for the entire congregation to hear when Teddy started fussing!

Maggie’s 5 Year Well Child Check

After much anticipation we finally had Maggie’s 5 year check up on January 21st.  There was a lot of build up for this appointment because Maggie needed to get her kindergarten shots, 3 shots total.  I think we talked about the “shots” for 2-3 months.  The good news is Maggie survived the shots and is one healthy little girl.  She is growing like a weed and was spunky and sweet during her checkup.

Maggie’s 5 year stats:
Height: 3' 9"
Weight: 48 lb 6.4 oz

Growth Percentiles
Weight: 88% based on CDC 2-20 Years weight-for-age data.

Length: 88%based on CDC 2-20 Years stature-for-age data.

Our favorite 5 year old

Maggie was super silly during the appointment.

And to celebrate another "Chopstick" meal.
