I Don't Need Expensive Toys ... Just Give me Some Magazines!

I don't know why mommies shop as much as they do buying me new toys.  All they really need to do is get a few more magazine subscriptions and I'll be set!  I LOVE magazines.  They're fun to rip and they're especially fun to eat!  (mommies don't mind the ripping, but for some reason, they don't like when I eat the magazines - not sure why?!)

Here are a few pictures of me during one of my latest "magazine sessions"...

Where Have I Been?

Let me start this one by saying that I am SO sorry I haven't blogged in two weeks. It's all mommy's fault.  She's been busy with work and other things, and I can't reach the computer unless I'm on her lap, so I blame her.  :)

Life has been pretty quiet since my last blog update.  (well, not completely quiet - I make a LOT of noise now)  Mommies and I have been getting into our new routine since Mommy went back to work.  Mama and I get to spend every afternoon together, which is so much fun!  We take good naps together, she gives me dinner, and we go outside a lot too.

Here are a few random pictures from the last two weeks!

Family Weekend at Lake Superior!

This weekend Mommies and I joined the rest of the family and Uncle Dan's family's house on Lake Superior.  I've never been to Lake Superior, and WOW, was it amazing!  It looks like an ocean!  (not that I've seen the ocean...)  :)  The family goes every year, but mommies have missed it due to weddings, out of town guests, etc, so they were excited to be able to go this year!

We had a great time! We hung out by the water, did some swimming and lots of playing.  We got in lots of good family time, and I even got to try some new foods!  I had peas (whole) and I even tried some cheese.  I LOVED both!  Here are some pics from our fun weekend!

Playing in the water!!

Mommies made a little "cabana" for me on the beach for one of my naps.  Pretty nice, right?!

Snoozing in my cabana.

Kayaking with Mama.

Sitting on Grandma's lap, enjoying my first tastes of cheese!

Cheese is yummy!

After a long day of playing, I took a LOOONG nap with Grandpa!

Sitting in Lucy's lap.  Lucy and I spent a lot of time together this weekend.  (Lauren's in her underwear in the background)  :)

Playing with Ella's toys - a doll and the cookie jar.  The cookie jar was my favorite this weekend!  I have the same one at home, but it wasn't open, so Mama opened it for me once we got home!

Cuddling with Mama at the hotel on Saturday night.

Mommy thinks this might be the first picture she's ever taken where you can kind of see the dimple in my left cheek.  Any idea where I got those?  :)

4th of July!

Sorry for the delayed post, friends and family!  Mommy went back to work, and usually I sit on her lap to type up my blog, but we've been kind of busy.  She promised to make a better effort to blog more often. (at least once a week!)  It was so much fun and I can't wait to see everyone over Labor Day in a couple of months!

On Saturday, we went to Aunt Jessie and Uncle Dan's house in Rice Lake.  We went boating during the afternoon, then played with all of the fun toys in their livingroom during the evening.  I had a great time playing with Lauren and Ella!!

On Sunday we went from Rice Lake to the McNamara cabin on Spider Lake.  There was lots of family there.  Aunt Marilyn, cousins Daniel, Kristi, Liam & Wayne, Uncle Pat & Aunt Terri, as well as all of our immediate family.  (Kelly, Jessie, Becky, Grandma & Grandpa, etc!)  It was so fun to have so many members of the family in one place!  While we were there, I sat in the water a little and had a really good time playing with some of the water toys.

On Sunday night, Mommies and I drove back.  I fell asleep pretty quickly after we got home, but mommies stayed up for a while and apparently saw some great fireworks from our neighbors.  The biggest treat of all was that my puppy brother Joey turned 4, so mommies gave him some puppy ice cream to celebrate his birthday.

Here are some pictures from my busy, but FUN 4th of July!

Playing with Ella's scooter/walker!  Do I look happy?  :)

Busy weekends make for sleepy babies.  This pictures was taken while I took a snooze on Mommy.

I wish I was awake for this!  Mama took this picture after they gave Joey his birthday ice cream!

Mommy's First Week Back at Work!

After 6 1/2 months at home with me, Mommy headed back to work this week.  Well, it wasn't really a full week, just Thursday and then she worked a half day at home on Friday.  For daycare, I'm lucky enough to be able to go over to cousin Heidi's, which is only 4 miles away from our house.  I get to play with Libby, Tessa and Waylan all day, so that's pretty great!  Mommy drops me off at 6am, then Mama gets me at 2 and I spend the rest of the afternoon with her at home.  Daycare is really fun!  We go for walks, play outside and I get to hang out with the other kids.  By the time I get home, I've been so exhausted from all of the fun that I've been taking some really good naps!  Here are some pictures of my last few days at home with Mommy and some that Mama took during our first afternoons together.

Enjoying one of my favorite puppy books!  (it's the next best thing to Joey!!)

I'm REALLY starting to like my feet now.  They're constantly in my mouth.

Mommies started giving me Puffs this week.  I like them a LOT!

I'm still figuring out how to eat Puffs, so it's not uncommon to find one stuck to my lip.
