I'm a 4 Month Old!

 



I turned 4 months old  yesterday!  Mommies can't believe how quickly the time has flown!

• I smile, coo, giggle and babble a LOT!
• I'm filling out.  :)
• I'm still not the greatest sleeper, but we're working on it!
• I've been in "school" (daycare) for almost a month now!
• I can roll over from my tummy to my back.  Mommies haven't worked too hard on this one with me, but they decided to give it a try yesterday, and it worked!  I did it several times! 
• I'm a sweet, adorable little guy!  (according to my mommies)

Much like my sister, I still really love tubby time!  Unfortunately, unlike my sister, I'm not the first born, therefore mommies have failed to document every single bath I've ever taken in my life.  (I'm being sort of sarcastic here ... but sort of not)

Mommy did want to make sure she documented one "interesting" fact about my baths ... it's the fact that I pee every single time they put me in the tub.  It's like clock work.  Put me in the warm water, wait roughly 5 seconds, and off I go!  Then they pick me up, dump out the water, and start over again.  One time Mommy thought she could outsmart me by putting me in a dry tub first, but that didn't work.  The warm water is what makes me go.  Sorry Mom.  Can't outsmart a 4 month old!

I take bath time very seriously.

Sibling Bonding

Due to my young age, for the most part, my sister Maggie and I don't do a ton together.  She's usually off running around, making noise and being crazy while I just stare at her and wonder what in the world she's doing.  Once in a blue moon though Mommies find us doing something together, which is what happened on Saturday....

The Downside to Being a Boy With an Older Sister

Sheriff Thomas

The beauty of being a boy born into a family that had several boy cousins before me is the fact that I've inherited some really great clothes - including great pajamas!  On Saturday night Mommies put me in these little gems and had fun calling me Sheriff Thomas the rest of the night.  They said I was the cutest Sheriff they'd ever seen.  I tend to agree with them....  ;)

The Basement Is Finally Finished!

Shortly after Tommy was born, Mommies decided to tackle a new project - finishing the basement.  I think what prompted them to do this was the way our living room looked after they brought all of the baby stuff (swing, bouncy seat, etc) back upstairs after having stored it in the basement for a couple of years.  The living room started to look REALLY small and they realized we would need more space, especially with winter around the corner.  Amazingly, they actually finished the majority of it before Tommy was born!  (when Mommies set their minds to something - they move fast!) 

Unfortunately, the last couple of steps of the projects ended up dragging out for a few months, but everything is finally done and we have a wonderful new place to play and hang out!  Here are a few of us kids checking it out and enjoying our new space.

Mommy Susie was out of town the day the carpet was installed, so this is a picture Mommy Tina sent to her so she could see it.  They put a little bit of tile by the door, but the rest of the basement is carpet.

Picture of the shelves Mommies put together to store all of our toys!  Mommies even hooked up the Nintendo Wii for the first time in many years.  They can't wait until I'm old enough to understand how to use it!  They get pretty competitive ... especially during their bowling matches.



Sledding and Skating with the Cousins!

Last weekend we met up with all of the McNamara cousins to go ice skating and sledding in New Richmond.

Please don't report her, but Mommy Susie took Tommy down the hill once.  (a very small hill...)  And for the record, he seemed to like it.  (well, we couldn't actually tell if he liked it, but he didn't cry, so that's a good sign)

My First Time Ice Skating!

A couple of weeks ago Mommy Tina bought me my first pair of ice skates.  I couldn't wait to try those bad boys on and hit the ice!  Mommy and I took the 4 wheeler out on the pond and plowed all of the snow off, then me and both of my mommies headed out for our first ice skating excursion of the winter.  Mommies couldn't believe how well I did considering it was my first time.  I'm still learning how to move my feet, but I didn't fall at all!  Mommies are confident with a little more time and practice I'll skating circles around them!

Tommy's Baptism

Last weekend I was baptized and Christ Church in Woodbury.  (same place my sister was baptized!)  Grandma and Papa Morawitz drove up for the event, and my godparents (Aunt Kelly and Uncle Dave), Grace and Lucy, and Grandma and Grandpa McNamara joined us for the ceremony. I wore the same outfit my cousin Luca wore when he was baptized, I was wrapped in the blanket Grace and Lucy used during their baptisms, and I also wore Mommy Susie's cross necklace that she received when she was baptized.  (Maggie wore it too!)

The ceremony was wonderful, and I was a perfect angel during the entire thing.  I barely made a peep!  After the ceremony, we went out for brunch at the Lakes restaurant in Woodbury and enjoyed some good food and good conversation.  (at least, I heard the food was good - I didn't get to try any!)  :)

It was such a special day for me!  (warning - some of these pictures are out of order ...)
