Trying to Keep Up

I am still trying to adjust to Teddy’s schedule and work in time to do some blog entries.  It’s not that we haven’t been doing a lot, we actually have had several outings and projects going on—so much so that when we are home my last thought is to work on the blog.  I started a pretty big landscape project that has been consuming the couple hours a day of free time that I have.  Teddy is still in the eat and eat and eat phase.  And when he isn't eating he wants to be held.  He is growing like a weed.  He had his 1 month birthday 2 weeks ago.  Everyday he is changing so much.  He no longer looks like a newborn at all.  He is so alert and his little neck muscles are getting strong.

Teddy is adored by his siblings, especially Maggie.  She holds him at least twice a day and is always kissing and hugging him.  She is a great helper with him.  Loves to lie next to him on the tummy-time mat and tries her best to interact with him and keep him happy.  Tommy also loves Teddy but his love isn't as gentle.  He likes to “pet” Teddy’s head and squeeze his tummy.  Tommy also likes to hold Teddy whenever he sees Maggie get a turn.

Becoming a family of 5 has not slowed us down.  In the past month we have been to the Minnesota Zoo, The Children’s Museum, a couple fairs and several new parks.  We have also been swimming, biking, hiking and playing basketball (Susie and I treated ourselves to a new hoop for our 7 year anniversary).  A new favorite weekend activity is to get frozen yogurt and walk to a nearby park.

Here is an abbreviated month in photos:

This is Teddy after one of our jogs.  He sure is cute to stare at.

It's cozy but all 3 fit in the truck

Maggie loves sleeping in tents!  On the weekends she has been camping out in our room.  She sleeps in there all night, it is crazy how much she loves it!

Could these two be any cuter?

Mommy Susie heading to the park with all 3 kids!

Maggie and Tommy love days at the farm!

Only thing Tommy loves as much as tractors and bulldozers are motorcycles!

Maggie and Cal had a blast together.  We didn't see them most of the day.  They were off exploring together.

It's amazing how well these two get along somedays

Tommy is really good at driving his tractor until it is time to turn
