Salads, sweeping and silliness!

This is ... you guessed it!  Another random post that doesn't make much sense but is full of random pictures from the last couple of weeks!  While I may not update my blog quite as much as I used to, it doesn't mean mommies are taking less pictures.  Not the case at all.  Even me eating a salad is a good enough reason to pull out the camera.  I just don't get it.  :)

Enjoying my salad.  (I LOVE salads!)

Yum!

Where's your head?

Sweeping the driveway.

Vroom vroom vroom!

Less pictures ... more riding!!

Just Being Me

Not every picture of me falls under a “theme”, so sometimes Mommy just has to help me write a blog posting about me being me. I am 16 months old today, and mommies are blown away by how quickly the time has gone and how much I’ve changed over such a short period of time. For one thing, I now have hair. I didn’t have hair before. (although mommies always swore they could see some sprouting in long before it did!) My walking has turned into running. I smile ALL the time. I love being outside and am constantly trying to get out there. While I don’t watch much TV, I am able to sit through a few minutes of Word World and Sesame Street. (just a few) I have a really silly sense of humor. I’m still not talking much but recently added “hi” to my vocabulary. I can point to my nose and tummy and I’m working on my ears. And…. That’s all I can think of for now. So… here are some random pictures that have little/nothing to do with what I just wrote. Give me a break. It’s a Monday. Even toddlers get a case of the Mondays every now and then…

Me, Elmo, my snack cups and my sippy cup hanging out in the bean bag.

I'm most likely watching Word World in this one.

Mommies snuck in my room and took this a few nights ago.  Very sneaky!

Burrito time!

Soaping up in the tub!  (I love to stand in my tub now)

Bath time fun!

Trying to drink the bath water.  (this always grosses Mommy out)

Getting my finally spray down before the end of bath time!

Snug in my towel.  Looking and smelling clean!

Easter Egg Hunt at the Centre

On Saturday, the Centre in New Richmond had an Easter egg hunt and several other activities for kids to enjoy.  Mama took me along with Grandma, Aunt Becky, Aunt Kelly, Aunt Jessie and all of the cousins.  I had a GREAT time!!  I really loved all of the characters running around like the Easter bunny, a dog and a fish.  I would get as much quality time with each of them as I could and then I'd chase after them if they walked away.  I also had a green egg I was trying to give to the dog.  Mama thinks I mistook the egg for a tennis ball, which is why I insisted the dog should have it.  (I always give tennis balls to my "Joe" at home!  Check out the pictures to see all the fun we had!

Get back here bunny!

Hey!  I'm talking to you!

Hi Friend!

Can I have a hug?

You bet you can have a hug!

Hello fish!

I had no problem at all sitting on the fish's lap.

In fact, I didn't want to leave the fish's lap!

Visiting the petting zoo.

Trying to get a closer look at the bunny!

If only my arms were a little longer....

Feeding the goat.

Another visit to the bunny.

And another fish visit.

Visiting the dog.  Note the green egg in my hand.  I really wanted him to have it.

Hey!  I'm not done with you, Joe!  I still have your tennis ball!

Mama finally wrangled me away from the dog just in time to get me home for a quick lunch then a LOOONG nap.

15 Month Check-Up

Mommies recently took me in for my 15 month check-up with Dr. Montague. To say the whole experience was upsetting would be an understatement. First they poked and prodded my ears (took my temperature), then they stuck a cold, metal circle on my tummy and back (stethoscope) and finally, they finished it off by sticking needles in my legs! (shots) Okay, really only that last part was bad, but I still managed to scream through all of it. I was fine as long as the doctor wasn’t looking at me or touching me.
Below are my 15 month stats:

Height:  76th percentile

Weight:  25.6 pounds (81st percentile)

Head:  87th percentile

Here are some pictures of the event. I still don’t understand why mommies insist on taking pictures at my doctor’s appointment. It’s just weird if you ask me….

Maybe they won't find me if I hide under the desk!

Taking a closer look at the eye chart.

Dr. Montague making a sad face as a result of my screams.  Thank goodness mommies just took pictures instead of a video.

Sad girl.

After the appointment, I came home and took a LOOONG nap.  Here's a close-up of me right after I woke up.

Didn't take long for me to turn on the charm!

Looking sleepy but sweet.

My New Truck!

A couple of weeks ago, Grandma and Grandpa McNamara bought me a new Cozy Coupe truck. To say I’m obsessed with it would be an understatement. This truck is AWESOME and has so many cool features including a horn that works and a tailgate that you can open and put things in it. (such as dolls, books, shoes, etc)
I was so excited when I got it that I couldn’t even wait for them to put it together. As you’ll see from the pictures below, I had to sit in it before it even had wheels and while it was upside down getting its wheels. Since receiving this gift, I have played with it every single day! I’ve learned to drive backwards, but I’m still working on moving forward. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa!!

Sitting in my new truck while Grandpa reads instructions on how to put it together.

No wheels?  No problem.

I can even sit in it when the car's flipped upside down!

Letting Lucy take it for a spin.

My turn!

Passed out after a fun afternoon with my new ride.  (notice my truck is in the backseat with me ... needless to say, I had very sweet dreams during that nap!)

No shoes.  No pants.  No problem!

Getting reacquainted with my truck after my nap.

Goofy Maggie face.

This thing is awesome!

Mommies said I shouldn't drink and drive.  I told them it wasn't mine - it was Elmo's.

Checking out the truck AGAIN the next morning.  This went on for days - me going to the living room after bed and each nap to make sure the truck was still there.

My first tailgating party.

Mama apparently snapped a pic of this naughty behavior before asking me to get down.  :)
