Trip to Florida - Part 1 - The Flight

Last week Mommies and I packed up our stuff and headed to Florida for an entire week!  Mommy's best friend from college was getting married there, so we went down for the wedding, then stayed a few extra days to enjoy all that Florida has to offer. 

While this wasn't my first time flying, it was my first time flying with my own seat, which mommies found to be VERY nice and spacious.   (versus having me on their laps for several hours)  I was so excited to get on the "hairpane" - I talked about it non-stop the night before we left.  Overall, I did great in the airports and on the plane.  On the way down, we had a layover in Detroit, so I got to see the cool light tunnel and we also road back and forth several times on the train inside the terminal.  That was a highlight for me.  :)  I slept during most of the flights, which was the highlight for mommies.
I'm sure it won't come as a big surprise that mommies took hundreds of pictures on our trip, so Mommy suggested I break this up into a few different  blog posts instead of writing one GIANT post, so this is the first of many Florida posts!

It was really nice here a couple of weekends ago, and mommies had some errands to run, so they left me at Grandma and Grandpa's with all of my cousins, and as usual, I had a blast!  The highlight of the day was playing in the sand.  For some reason, I decided to strip down to my underwear.  Mommy was a little baffled by that, but I seemed to be having so much fun, that she just decided it was normal.  When Mommy pulled in the driveway to get me, below is how she found me.  :)



Exciting News!

I'm pretty sure everyone knows this news already, but just in case you didn't, I figured I should share it to all of my blog followers (all 3 of you)  :) that I'm going to be a big sister!  My baby sibling is due at the beginning of October, and I can't wait to meet him/her!

Mommies think I'm going to be a really good big sister, and I do too!  They can tell because I become proud as a peacock everytime they let me wear my big sister t-shirt.  :)  Meet you soon, Baby McNamara!!



Easter

Yesterday was Easter, and it sure was a fun day!  I woke up thinking it would be a normal Sunday, but was quickly surprised by the fact that the Easter Bunny visited our house on Saturday night and left a basket for of great stuff and he also hid eggs around the house!  As soon as I realized there was a basket in the living room, I took off in a full sprint.  I immediately started pulling things out of my basket, all while singing "Happy Birthday".  (Mommies aren't sure I fully understood it was "Easter" and not my birthday!)  :)  E. Bunny brought me some really cool stuff in my Easter basket including a Dora book with a music player, an Elmo sticker book, Dora bubbles, Dora socks, and new sunglasses.  (he really must know me well!)  He also brought some gifts from Mamma and Papa - a pretty new dress and a chocolate bunny.

After I dug through my basket (and blew some bubbles in the living room), I started searching for Easter eggs hidden in the house.  I did a prety good job of finding them, although mommies are pretty sure we'll still find a few in the coming weeks.

Later in the day, we headed over to Aunt Kelly and Uncle Dave's house to celebrate with the Krumm side of the family.  We had lots of good food and a really fun Easter egg hunt after lunch.  As soon as we started searching for eggs, I was sprinting from one egg to the next screaming "I win!  I win!"  Mommy's not sure where I got my competitive side.  :)

Easter Basket from Jason

Last Thursday Jason surprised us by leaving a bucket full of Easter gifts for me at our house. We were just getting home from the doctor, and once Mommy pointed out to me that there was something on our front porch, I was fighting to get out of my car seat so I could go see what it was!
I was so excited to see all of the cool stuff he got me! I still love Dora, so he made sure to put lots of fun Dora stuff in the basket including Dora bubbles, a Dora cup and Dora barretes. The basket also had an Elmo book and tons of yummy candy. He put cotton candy in there too, so I tried that for the first time. I looked confused with the first bite, but quickly realized it was a sweet, tasty treat!  Thank you Jason!!

More Fun with the Ducks

After I got home from school yesterday, Mommy and I played with my baby ducks some more.  I'm getting more comfortable holding them and petting them.  (gently)  I love them so much, I even dressed up for the occasion in my finest Dora dress and pearls!  :)

Baby Ducks for Easter!

This past weekend, I got an early Easter present - baby ducks!  We picked them up yesterday, and they're SO adorable!  We got 3 Magpies and 4 runners, and they're all 3 days old.  Unfortunately, one of our runners didn't make it last night, so now we have 3 of each.  Their names are Dora, Diego, Boots, Donald, Long John and Hot Dog.  I love to look at them and play with the saw dust in their box.  I'm still working on holding them.  Mommies are trying to teach me how to hold them "gently".  I can hold them, but I miss the "gentle" part sometimes.  :)

Big Girl Playset!

For the last year or so, mommies have been talking about how they eventually wanted to get a big playset for our house.  On Sunday, they decided to go to the Rainbow store to check it out due to a big sale they were having.  Much to my surprise, I got home from school yesterday, and there was a beautiful new play set in our yard!  I was beside myself.  For the first 30 minutes or so, I just kept going from one thing to the next - too excited to spend a significant amount of time on any single activity.  I eventually calmed down a little, but we still ended up playing on it for about 2 hours last night.  It is SO much fun!  Mommies asked me if I love it, and I nodded and said (in my Maggie voice) "Ove it."  It's going to be a FUN summer!

The tire swing might be one of my favorite features.  It's a  fun swing, and it also makes for great storage.  (I stored my shoes inside of it when I decided to take them off)  :)
