Swimming Lessons!

Maggie had her first “real” swimming lessons in April.  She had done the Mommy and Me one with Susie as a 1 year old but this was her first session in the water with a the teacher and mommies sitting comfortably in their clothes in the bleachers.  We were curious to see how she would do and she did great.  She was a good listener and tried everything.  She hasn’t liked getting her face splashed since she was an infant so the first couple of classes she didn’t want to do the “bobs” and wouldn’t go under during Ring Around The Rosie.  By the end of the session she was a pro at going under and it actually became her favorite part of class.  I am so proud of her.  She now jumps of the edge of the pool or the dock at the lake and goes under!  Such a big girl!
