Lately I've really started to notice Joey, and I am obsessed with him! Whenever I get mad now, if I've already been fed, changed, etc, my mommies call Joey because they know I can't resist smiling when he's around. Mommies aren't entirely sure if Joey shares the same enthusiasm for me as I do for him, but he'll come around. He can't resist my charm forever!

One More Rolling Video
This is the video Mommy was trying to upload earlier but it wasn't working. Just another video of me rolling. Mommy would prefer if you focus on the rolling and not the talking. Thank you kindly!
This Is How I Roll...
After weeks of teasing my moms by not rolling when they're around, I've finally started to roll more and Mommy caught me on video this morning!
A New Mode of Transportation...
A couple of weeks ago when we were at Aunt Becky & Uncle Eric's house, we picked up a sweet new ride for me. (Aunt Becky and Uncle Eric had an extra, so they're letting us borrow it!) Because of our Missouri trip, mommies weren't able to get around to hooking it up to the bike until yesterday, but it was well worth the wait! I love it, and I love to flop my feet up and down while we're riding. Here are some pictures of my first biking adventure!
Before taking me for a spin, Mama wanted to make sure everything was hooked up correctly, so she needed a test dummy to try it out. So Joey got to go on the first ride. He's pretty smart though - he figured out how to get out and never made it down the driveway. :) Fortunately, I get strapped in really good, so I can't get out like he did!
Excited for my first ride!
First time in the buggy! Checking things out...
Here we go!
If you look closely, you can see that I brought some friends along with me. Several toys joined me for my first journey!

Goodbye Pack 'n Play, Hello Crib!
After two months of sleeping in my Pack 'n Play in mommies' room, my mommies decided I was ready for the crib. (by "I was ready" I mean "they were ready", I've probably been ready for a long time, but my mommies liked having me in their room) We got back from Missouri on Monday afternoon, and my mommies decided to be brave and put me in my crib that night. I was clearly ready - they put me to bed awake like they usually did in the pack 'n play and I didn't even fight it. I went right to bed, and I did the same thing last night. I slept 12 hours straight the first night and 12 1/2 hours last night. In fact, I even took all of my naps yesterday in the crib. I sleep great and wake up happy just like in the pack 'n play, and my crib is so much more comfortable!
Mommy wanted to get some pictures of my new bed, but she didn't want to wake me, so she brought the camera in with her this morning and caught some pictures of me waking up. And yes, I always wake up this happy - it's Mommy's favorite time of day! I lay in my bed and babble. She says it's a much more fun way to wake up than when I used to cry in the mornings.

Memorial Day at the Lake!
On Thursday, Mommies and I took the 10 hour drive to the Lake of the Ozarks to visit with mommy's side of the family. I did really well on the drive both ways. I slept about 7 hours worth of the drive, and for the 3 hours I was awake, Mommy sat in the backseat with me to keep me company. The way home was a little interesting. At one point I ended up naked in my carseat thanks to the fact that I decided not to keep my breakfast down. Other than that, the trip getting there and getting home was pretty uneventful.
We stayed at Mamma and Papa's house. I love it there! There are lots of fun toys to play with, and I get spoiled with attention! On Friday I went on my very first boat ride! We took Papa's boat over to Fish for lunch. I don't remember much of the ride ... I slept both ways. :) On Saturday night we had lots of friends and family over for a cookout, then on Sunday we just kind of relaxed and spent lots of time enjoying the great weather outside. (Mommy said it was the best Memorial Day weather she's ever seen at the lake)
I had such a great time & can't wait to go back for Labor Day!

Safety First!
With swimming and boating season finally here, mommies wanted to try on my life jacket to see what I think of it. They actually bought this for me last summer when I was still in Mommy's belly - they must have been really excited to take me out on the lake! I love summer!!!!!

Finally! Rice Cereal!
Recently mommies have noticed that I've been showing a lot of interest in real food. (in fact, in the hotel last weekend, I was so interested in Mama's cereal that I grabbed the bowl when she wasn't looking and spilled it all over the floor!) Since I'm almost 6 months, they decided to let me try rice cereal for the first time last night. So far I've had it three times, and I'm starting to like it. I wasn't too crazy about it last night and wasn't quite sure what to do with it, but now I'm catching on!
First bite. I'm not so sure about this...
Down the hatch!
Second bite...
I don't love it, but I don't hate it.
Hmmm... this is kind of interesting.
I could get used to this!
Food is fun!
Weekend in Dodgeville
Last weekend mommies and I joined the rest of the McNamara family in Dodgeville, WI to help Aunt Becky with some work on her house. (Joey came too!!!) I did great in the car, and I stayed at a hotel for the first time. While at Aunt Becky's, Mama and the rest of the family did tons of work. They painted, tiled, built stairs for the deck, made some repairs and added transition strips throughout the house.
On Saturday while Mama was working, Mommy and I drove to Janesville, WI so I could meet Mommy's friend Madelyn. (Madelyn lives in Chicago, so they picked Janesville since it's halfway between Dodgeville and Chicago) We went out to lunch then went to a cheese store, then we walked around a botanical garden. When we got back to Dodgeville, Mama took a break from working and we went back to the hotel to go swimming. Unfortunately, the water was really cold and I wasn't too happy about that, so we didn't stay in the pool too long.
On Sunday it got REALLY hot out, so Aunt Becky bought a pool so the kids could cool off. I didn't swim, but I had a great time watching my cousins swim!
Normally we would have tons of pictures after a weekend away, but mommies forgot the camera, so here are a few from Aunt Jessie's camera.

My First Outdoor Toy!
Now that the weather's getting so nice, Mama decided I needed something to play with outside. Since I'm obviously not big enough for a real playset yet, Mama found the perfect alternative - a swing! (we all know how much I like swings - I slept in one until I was 4 months old!)
I absolutely love my new swing! Mama put it under the deck so I can stay in the shade too. I can't wait to have lots of fun time in my swing all summer!

I'm so comfortable in my new swing, I even managed to take a little snooze yesterday afternoon...
