4th of July

I think this was our first time ever being local for the 4th of July since Maggie was born (we normally go to Lake of the Ozarks), but since we have been doing so much traveling lately we decided it would be nice to stay home.  On Thursday we headed up to the McNamara Family cabin on Spider Lake.  It was a beautiful day.  We ate way too much, swam a bunch and had the first ever “Cousin Olympics”.  Cousin Olympics consisted of 5 events and they all really seemed to get into it and have a good time.  Tommy swam a little and pretty much just hung out.  He had an eventful morning with a trip to the ER in New Richmond after he crawled out of our bed and went head first onto the wood floor.  Thanks for hosting us Pat and Terri!

Maggie and Lucy doing the Sponge Relay (Event #1)

More sponge relay

3-legged races (Event #2)

How cute are these two?

Looks like they are going pretty fast considering there legs are tied together

Hard to see but Maggie is holding the egg on the spoon (Event #3)

Wheelbarrow races (Event #4)

I couldn't believe how good Maggie was at this, she made it the whole way--not sure if she ever even took a break.  No wonder she keeps begging us to put her in gymnastics

Water ballon toss (Event #5)

Maggie taking a swing at the Pinata--seems like we are doing these all the time!

Tommy sitting on the paddle boat with his godparents

Tommy and Dave.  Dave held Tommy so long that he eventually found out the hard way that Tommy was only wearing a swim diaper... :)

Brave Maggie Swimming.  Her and Lucy were the first ones in the water.

Things got a bit out of hand and fun when the adults started playing "sink the swim raft"

Maggie and Ella. These two have so much fun together when they remember to play with each other. Seems like the majority of the time they are each playing with the older cousins and forget that they have each other. They are only 3 months apart.
